YG Cleared of DUI Charges After Case Dismissed Due to Lack of Evidence

YG has officially been cleared in his DUI case, as the Burbank City Attorney’s Office dropped the charges against the Compton rapper. The case, which stemmed from an incident in October 2024, was dismissed on February 5, 2025, due to insufficient evidence.

The DUI Incident and Investigation

On the night of October 1, YG was spotted by Burbank police after he allegedly drove over a curb in the early hours of the morning. When officers arrived at the scene, they found YG standing outside of his vehicle but did not administer a breathalyzer test. Although YG had been booked for a misdemeanor DUI, the case was primarily dismissed because the rapper was not actually inside the car when the officers approached.

YG’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, who also represents A$AP Rocky in his current gun case, confirmed that the Burbank City Attorney’s Office had decided to reject the charges. The key reason for the dismissal was the lack of solid evidence tying YG to the operation of the vehicle at the time of the alleged incident. While police did take a blood sample from YG, it wasn’t enough to proceed with the charges.

YG’s Recent Business Ventures and Acting Projects

While this legal drama is behind him, YG is busy focusing on other ventures. The rapper, known for hits like “Big Bank” and “Who Do You Love,” is now expanding his career into film and business. He has been tapped to appear in the upcoming indie horror film Night Patrol, alongside fellow rapper Freddie Gibbs and WWE star CM Punk. Directed by Ryan Prows, the movie follows an LAPD officer who uncovers a dark secret within a local police task force.

This film won’t be the first time YG steps into the acting world. He previously starred in and directed a short film for his 2014 album, Blame It On The Streets, showcasing his versatility beyond the music industry.

In addition to his film career, YG has ventured into the business world, launching a male enhancement product called Cherry Bomb. Released in February 2024, Cherry Bomb is marketed as an all-natural supplement designed to improve physical appearance and enhance sexual experiences. The product, priced at $23.99, promises to improve your nighttime performance while not impacting your morning energy.

What’s Next for YG?

With the DUI case behind him and his business and acting career flourishing, YG is focused on expanding his empire. He is expected to continue pursuing music, acting, and entrepreneurship in the years ahead, further cementing his place in both the entertainment industry and the business world.
