21 Savage Declares Himself the Best Lyricist in Atlanta
When it comes to lyricism, 21 Savage confidently places himself as the top rapper in Atlanta today.
During an interview on the DeepCut podcast, where guests are interviewed while getting a haircut, 21 Savage was asked to list the top five Hip-Hop artists in Atlanta. With no shortage of confidence, he ranked himself at number one, while placing Dreamville’s JID in the second spot.
21 Savage’s Ranking of Atlanta’s Top Rappers
Following his own placement, 21 Savage ranked Young Thug as the third-best rapper, with Lil Baby and Future taking the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
However, while 21 Savage sees himself as the best lyricist, he acknowledged that in terms of overall songwriting and creating hits, Future holds the crown. He said:
“If we’re talking about songwriting, Pluto [Future] is number one. But strictly in terms of lyricism, yeah, I’m number one.”

Although his claim as Atlanta’s top lyricist may spark debates, 21 Savage has undeniably become one of the most improved rappers in the Hip-Hop industry. His skills have seen remarkable growth over the years.
