Sega Bodega, the artist behind “Angel on My Shoulder,” took to X to express his disappointment. He stated that Lil Nas X had not even attempted to put his own spin on the concept. “Not even trying to put a spin on it is where I’m like, yeesh,” Sega wrote. He further criticized the lack of credit given to the original artist, stating that a fleeting Instagram Story mention was insufficient.
