Elon Musk’s extreme control over family relationship: The children are isolated from their mother
Singer Grimes (real name Claire Boucher) has publicly shared details of her year-long custody battle with Elon Musk, revealing the emotional toll it took on her. In a lengthy post on X (formerly Twitter), she discussed the struggles and challenges she faced to regain contact with her children.
Months Without Seeing Her Kids
Grimes, the mother of three children with Musk—X Æ A-Xii (4 years old), Techno Mechanicus (2 years old), and Exa Dark Sideræl (3 years old)—revealed that she didn’t see her kids for five months during the dispute.
She described fighting in a state where “maternal rights are weak” and shared that her Instagram posts and modeling career were used against her as reasons to question her capability as a mother.
Rift with Elon Musk
Grimes also opened up about her deteriorating relationship with Musk, referring to him as “the love of her life” but saying he had become “distant.” She hinted at feeling overwhelmed by his vast resources and intelligence, which made the fight even more challenging.
Reflecting on the tough year, Grimes admitted, “I just slept and cried every minute I wasn’t fighting for my kids.”
How the Year-Long Battle Ended
The custody dispute concluded in August when a Texas court issued a final order. However, details of the agreement remain sealed, leaving many questions unanswered.
Grimes explained that going to court was daunting, stating, “The threat of losing my kids and financial ruin made it impossible to think creatively.”
Staying Resilient
Despite the struggles, Grimes says she has emerged stronger. “I feel like I’m on top of the world right now,” she shared, adding that the worries she once had now seem like “child’s play” compared to what she endured.
Elon Musk’s Family Drama Continues
This custody battle adds to the complexity of Musk’s family life. He is currently the father of 12 children, including twins with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis, born earlier this year.
