Drake’s Tragedy: Fake Messages

Drake has recently found himself entangled in a series of controversies, and this week is no exception. On January 7th, Chris Blake Griffith took to Instagram to post screenshots of what appeared to be direct messages exchanged between him and Drake. In these messages, Drake seems to be addressing his ongoing legal issues with Universal Music Group. One message read, “Me and Universal are like Nike sponsoring a campaign about LeBron cheating on his wife. Not Adidas or Reebok… Nike is the company he’s been with from the start. My situation isn’t some nonsense.”

Griffith’s Past Allegations Against Stefon Diggs

The messages also referenced prior allegations by Griffith that Stefon Diggs had drugged him and attempted to assault him. These accusations had first been shared by Griffith on Instagram in October, where he recounted a physical altercation with Diggs’ brother, Darez AKA Marsean. Griffith claimed that after Marsean tried to have sex with him unsuccessfully, Marsean realized their relationship was over and tried to steal Griffith’s chrome hearts collection. Griffith also argued that the theft story would be used to cover up the fact that Marsean had drugged him and attempted to “test” him.

Following this, Akademiks TV posted a video about the incident, accusing Griffith of faking the messages from Drake because the rapper had refused to help him “expose” Diggs. Despite all of this, the full truth of the situation remains unconfirmed, and the story is still developing.
