Unreleased Songs Surface from Drake’s Archive
On Thursday, January 2, unreleased songs from Drake’s archive surfaced online, including an energetic track in which he raps: “F** a rap beef, I’m tryna get the party lit.”* The song also features references to Lil Durk and 21 Savage (who seems to make an appearance on the track). In the lyrics, Drake says: “Durk’s homie told me ‘Marvin’s Room’ is his favorite song, he trained to that / A thousand dudes rap about murders, and maybe ten will actually act / Savage, you’re the only one who checks on me when we’re truly in the mess, bro.”
It remains unclear whether Drake recorded this song recently or if it predates his intense rivalry with Kendrick Lamar.
Collaboration with PARTYNEXTDOOR Sparks Speculation
The leaks also included snippets of an unnamed collaboration between Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR, which is speculated to be part of their upcoming joint album. While Drake stopped addressing Kendrick Lamar directly on social media following lukewarm reactions to “The Heart Part 6” and a subtle clapback in “Not Like Us”, he continues to throw light jabs at his rival through other channels.

In a November appearance on the Kick stream with Canadian streamer xQc, the Toronto rapper sent a defiant message to his adversary:
“I’m here—mind, body, and soul fully intact, in case you’re wondering. You need the truth to take me down; fairy tales won’t do it,” he declared.
Drake seems to be alluding to various accusations Kendrick has made in his diss tracks, including allegations that Drake associates with sex offenders, hides a secret child, and even hints at pedophilia.

In response, the Compton mogul reportedly reacted in a text conversation with a close friend, writing, “Is he stumbling?!”
