Toronto rapper Top5, a close associate of Drake, has been arrested and charged with multiple firearm-related offenses, according to a recent press release from the Toronto Police Service. The rapper, whose real name is Hassan Ali, was taken into custody on Friday, January 24, and is now facing six separate charges related to illegal weapon possession.

- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

Top5’s initial court appearance was scheduled for Saturday, January 25, at 10 A.M., though no further details have been provided about the proceedings.

Earlier this month, the two were spotted together at a Toronto Raptors game, fueling speculation about their ongoing friendship. The rapper posted a video on Instagram showing himself and the OVO Sound boss walking to their seats during the Raptors’ victory over the Golden State Warriors on January 13. However, not everyone is on board with their association. Industry figure Wack 100 recently issued a stern warning to Drake, advising him to distance himself from Top5. Speaking in an interview with No Jumper, Wack 100 revealed that he possesses potentially damaging evidence against the rapper and urged Drake to “get away” from him.

During the interview, Wack 100 held up a USB drive, claiming it contained damaging information about Top5. He expressed his concern for Drake, stating:
“Drake needs to get away from Top5. He’s bad news… This has been in existence for about 90 days, and I have made sure it hasn’t gone anywhere. That dude is reckless with his mouth and ties you to things that don’t support your career.”
Wack 100 further warned that staying close to Top5 could lead to Drake being “hemmed up, caught up, and cuffed up.”
