Ant McPartlin and Anne-Marie Share Rare Display of Affection on Barbados Beach
Ant McPartlin and his wife Anne-Marie looked like a couple deeply in love as they frolicked in the warm waters of Barbados during their winter holiday. The two were seen playfully splashing around in the crystal-clear water near the Fairmont Royal Pavilion hotel, located on the island’s stunning west coast.
The couple enjoys a rare moment of public affection
In footage captured by a fellow hotel guest, the couple struggled to maintain their balance as the waves crashed against them. Ant, 49, and Anne-Marie, 46, were seen holding hands as they tried to steady themselves in the waves, with Ant barely able to keep his hands off his wife. Both were visibly laughing as they braved the surf, looking as carefree and joyful as ever.
In a second video, Ant can be seen relaxing alone in the water, his sunglasses shielding his eyes from the sun as the water rose up to his shoulders. His heavily tattooed body was on full display, wearing nothing but a pair of peach-colored swimming trunks, while Anne-Marie sported a chic black-and-white swimsuit.
Ant enjoys some downtime in the clear waters
The luxurious Fairmont Royal Pavilion, a hotspot for A-list celebrities like Kylie Minogue and Justin Bieber, offers suites starting at $2,298 (roughly £1,862) per night after taxes, with breathtaking views of the ocean. It’s clear that the couple’s Barbados getaway was a well-deserved holiday to celebrate the festive season. They were spotted on the beach just last month, following their return from Australia, where Ant and his co-host Declan Donnelly wrapped up filming for their popular show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
Ant and Anne-Marie tied the knot in the summer of 2021 at the five-star Heckfield Place hotel in Hampshire, with a star-studded guest list that included Frank and Christine Lampard, David Walliams, and Phillip Schofield. Ant, who is a devoted stepfather to Anne-Marie’s daughters from her previous marriage to Scott Corbett, has even mentioned his stepdaughter during an episode of the Jungle Club, the behind-the-scenes show of I’m A Celeb, last month. He shared a heartwarming moment, saying, “Snow was falling in some parts of the UK when I was talking to my daughter in Newcastle, and she was making snowballs. There was so much snow!”
Family bond Ant shares sweet moments about his stepdaughter
This is not the first trip to Australia for Anne-Marie, who has accompanied Ant to the country for many years, especially when he worked on I’m A Celeb. They first met in 2017 when she was his personal assistant. In 2019, she even brought her two daughters along, but it wasn’t until 2022, a year after their wedding, that they traveled together as a married couple.
Just last month, Ant opened up about how difficult it was for him to be away from his son, Wilder, for the first time while working on the show. Although he has been hosting I’m A Celeb since its inception in 2002, this year’s filming experience was different for the star after becoming a father in May.
Ant’s emotional challenge Balancing his career and new fatherhood
According to an insider who spoke, Ant felt particularly emotional about being separated from Anne-Marie and Wilder. “This is the longest he’s been away from them, and it’s been tough for him. He’s very much looking forward to coming back home,” they said. The source continued, “While they stay in constant contact through FaceTime, Ant is struggling with the time difference. When he wakes up, Anne-Marie is putting Wilder to bed, so it’s hard for them to sync up.”
The couple has set up a strong support system at home for Anne-Marie, with Ant confident that his son will be safe and well cared for with his mother, but still, he misses them terribly. Ant’s devotion to his family and his love for Anne-Marie is evident in their rare but touching public displays of affection.
