At a pre-trial hearing in November, A$AP Rocky’s lawyer attempted to block video surveillance footage of the rapper holding a firearm from being used as evidence. While the prosecution argued that the footage clearly showed the rapper firing a gun, Mayers’ defense team denied this claim.

Detective Frank Flores of the Los Angeles Police Department testified at the hearing that the video showed Mayers holding a gun, but under cross-examination, he admitted that the weapon was never recovered.
