Bethenny Frankel nearly missed the Super Bowl on Sunday after she was accidentally locked in a bathroom at a Super Bowl party in Miami. The former Real Housewives of New York City star documented the terrifying moment on her Instagram Story, providing followers with an inside look into the mishap.

Locked in the Bathroom: A Nightmare for Bethenny

“Are you ready for this? This is ridiculous!” Frankel, 54, exclaims at the start of the video while holding up what appears to be a broken doorknob.

She continued, “Everyone’s watching the game, and I’m texting friends, stuck in the bathroom!” It was clear from her tone that she was both frustrated and in disbelief at the situation. Frankel was unable to open the door, with no one else around able to help her get out.

“I didn’t want to publicly say where I am, but I have to go on social media and let everyone know that I need help,” she explained in her clip, showing her attempt to get attention. “I’m yelling…hello!” She added in a playful tone, trying to keep the mood light despite the inconvenience. “Nothing! Because the game is on fire,” she joked, referencing the intense excitement of the Super Bowl match.

A Rescue Mission

Finally, someone arrived to help, and Frankel continued to film, capturing the entire ordeal. “Okay, thanks,” she said to the person who was trying to open the door from the other side. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, the door remained locked.

“They can’t get in from the outside,” Bethenny said, adding a touch of humor to the frustrating situation. A voice off-camera replied with an apologetic tone: “I’m so sorry!”

Despite the failed attempts to get the door open, Frankel remained calm, smiling and laughing about the situation as it unfolded. She then showed the doorknob once again and chuckled at how absurd the whole thing had become.

Bethenny’s Take on Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Performance

Once she was finally freed, Frankel took to her Instagram to comment on the Super Bowl halftime show, specifically about Kendrick Lamar’s performance. She mentioned that although she had heard of Lamar and his music, she couldn’t name a single song of his off the top of her head.

“I’ve obviously heard of Kendrick Lamar and his music, but I can’t tell you the name of a song!” she said, before going on to express her admiration for his performance. “I watched the halftime show and thought, ‘Who is this guy?’ but I really liked his music!”

Although Lamar had faced some criticism from certain circles for his performance, Frankel said she thought it was “great.”

During his set, Kendrick Lamar performed alongside SZA, and even had Serena Williams make a brief appearance. Some speculated that Lamar’s performance may have been a subtle jab at Drake, a theory that Frankel didn’t dive into but acknowledged in passing.
