Drake and Metro Boomin Accused of Skipping 21 Savage’s Birthday Party
21 Savage just had a wild birthday party over the weekend, but it seems that two of his closest collaborators, Drake and Metro Boomin, were nowhere to be seen.

According to DJ Akademiks, both artists were absent from the celebration, despite Drake previously having a playful exchange with 21 Savage about the party’s “2008-2013 era” theme. When 21 Savage first announced the party, Drake commented, “Too specific,” before jokingly asking, “Can we get a reference pic?” However, despite the interaction, Drake ultimately didn’t attend.
Fans React with Mixed Opinions
Once Akademiks shared the news, social media quickly erupted with mixed reactions.

- “Why would Drake fly to Atlanta for a party right now? Are you serious?” one Instagram user questioned.
- Another sarcastically wrote, “Drake’s bots and die-hard fans in the comments will explain exactly how they know his feelings and why they always call him before bed to make sure he got home safely.”
Drake Speaks on Fake Friends
This move from Drake comes shortly after he spoke about dealing with fake friends during a recent appearance at a Toronto nightclub. He shared:
“One thing about nostalgia—you’ll realize who your real friends are. At some point, the people you thought were close to you may change. They might turn their backs, try to fight you, or even stab you in the back. But remember, there are times when it’s just you alone with your thoughts.”
What Did Metro Boomin Say?
Meanwhile, Metro Boomin recently addressed his relationship with Drake during the Forbes 30 Under 30 Summit. He clarified that there was no serious issue between them.
“I love and respect all my collaborators. I just want to see everyone be their best selves and continue pushing this industry forward.”
Was Drake and Metro Boomin’s absence just a coincidence, or is there something more going on behind the scenes?
