SZA took center stage in Hollywood, California, to honor her record label executives, Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith and Terrence “Punch” Henderson, with the esteemed Billboard Visionary Award. This accolade marks a celebration of their 20-year milestone since founding Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) and their transformative contributions to the music industry.

The ceremony opened with an introduction by Clive Davis, a legendary figure in the music industry, who praised TDE’s significant influence in reshaping hip-hop and R&B. He highlighted their commitment to nurturing raw talent and delivering music that resonates on a global scale.

“I was just talking to Punch the other day about how much vision he had to see what he saw in me with no credentials,” SZA began. “I really was looking insane and behaving insane. People told him to change how I looked or that I should work with different writers or producers, but he didn’t change a single thing about me.”
SZA continued, emphasizing the pivotal role the duo played in her career. “Top literally also somehow had this belief in me. I was nothing like any of my family members in TDE, and yet, no matter how many times we had differing conversations, he would fight to understand me. That belief is something I’m endlessly grateful for.”
